The Japan Shotokan Karate Association - USA (JSKA-USA) is directly affiliated to the Tokyo based Japan Shotokan Karate Association (JSKA). JSKA is one of the fastest growing Traditional Karate organizations in the world. After the break up of the Japan Karate Association (JKA), Keigo Abe Sensei (9th Dan) formed the JSKA to provide dojos world wide with a non-political international organization to foster the true spirit and proper practice of Shotokan Karatedo.

The goal of JSKA - USA is the promulgation of true Japanese Karatedo as espoused by the founder of modern day Karatedo Master Gichin Funakoshi. We are dedicated to upholding the honorable principles found in all traditional martial arts, especially the principals found in

Master Funakoshi's Dojo Kun and 20 Precepts of Karatedo.

These philosophical teachings are sorely lacking in the vast majority of Karate schools world wide. JSKA-USA is dedicated to the proper training and education of Karate student’s and Karate Sensei’s (teachers) in the United States.

New students of all levels, instructors, member schools and organizations are always welcome.
